Yin Yoga Foundations Training – Level I

This training will introduce the candidate to the experiential and philosophical application of the receptive Yin style, the dynamic Yang style and mindfulness meditation. We will explore the purpose, method and effects of these contemplative practices on the body, the heart and the mind.

This intensive will cultivate confidence and competence for sharing the practice as a teacher or to provide a solid foundation for independent applications of body-based consciousness. The Four Foundations of Mindfulness will be examined as they relate to the immediate and lingering effects of the Yin Yoga practices on our minds, bodies and hearts. This training is suitable for aspiring and certified Yoga teachers, therapeutic practitioners, fitness professionals and yoga students who are interested in expanding their understanding of this profound collection of practices in universal balance, human energetics and spiritual evolution.

 

Yin Yoga Continuum Training – Level II

This course of intensive study will build on the Yin Yoga practices and principles that we established in the FOUNDATIONS course. The lens through which we experience the practices of universal balance will widen to include a deeper study of meridian theory, the Tao, theories of the chakras and subtle energy anatomy.


We will refine and enhance our work with pranayama, energy work, mantra and vinyasa, as well as increase our repertoire of Yin postures. The four foundations of mindfulness will be examined as they relate to the immediate and lingering effects of the Yin Yoga practices on our minds, bodies and hearts.

This is a 40-hour intensive for dedicated practitioners and yoga teachers who have completed the Level I course (prerequisite).

The current course is now full and underway. The next foundation courses are as follows:

Yoga Teacher Training

200–hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Certification Course

This training meets the requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance as an RYT®200. Successful candidates will be qualified to teach various forms and levels of yoga under the general Hatha classification, including: Hot Yoga, Power Yoga, Classical Hatha, Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Fitness-based Yoga. Upon completion of this course, candidates will be eligible to continue their study of Yoga through mentorship programs and modular training (300 hours) towards the RYT® 500 professional designation with Yoga Alliance.

This training is appropriate for aspiring teachers as well as dedicated students who are interested in deepening their practice and understanding of Yoga.

Yin Yoga Foundations Training – Level I & II

Certification & Experiential Intensive

An Exploration of Yin Yoga, Yang Yoga and Everyday Mindfulness for Dedicated Practitioners and Yoga Teachers

This training will introduce students to the experiential and philosophical application of the receptive Yin style of practicing yoga. To provide context and contrast, we will also investigate a dynamic Yang style of practice using both Taoist and vinyasa forms. We will explore the purpose, method and effects of these contemplative practices on the body, the heart and the mind through the lens of mindfulness meditation. This intensive will cultivate confidence and competence for sharing the practice as a teacher and also provide a solid foundation for home practice.

This training is suitable for aspiring and certified Yoga teachers, therapeutic practitioners, fitness professionals and yoga students who are interested in expanding their understanding of this profound collection of practices in universal balance, human energetics, embodied wisdom and spiritual evolution.
